I’ve been a PROUD member of Global Discovery Vacations for the past 7 years. I have used it to go to several places in the US and 1 out of the country (Cabo San Lucas). Each place I stayed at was great. They were all small condos, (except for 1 was a large 3 bdrm 3 bth). Each unit was awesome, definately much better than staying at a hotel. Most of these places are not “all-inclusive” since these are condominiums meaning they are owned privately and exchanged through timeshare companies. I have always had great customer service experiences with the GDV staff and have always been glad that I purchased this membership. Granted you still have to pay for transportation to the resort, but you would if you had a hotel. Travel services are there to help arrange flights and car rentals but I usually use discount websites for that. All in all, I have NEVER regretted my decision to get into this and look forward to the many years of traveling to come. (This fall my wife and I are getting a cottage in Ireland through GDV for our anniversary.)

Responsibility. In all my dealings with GDV , they have never shirked responsibility , or avoided filling apromise. That’s the most important character quality they have

I joined in California in 2009 after considering all the web based and printed membership information. For many years, I’ve considered traveling more and simply didn’t want to own a timeshare. My membership in GDV has permitted my family to enjoy quality properties in Kauai two years in a row. We’ve also requested South Lake Tahoe and Inland Passage Cruise on NCL. As an Elite member… I’m planning to book a cruise 13 months in advance… will check in after the cruises are booked.

Just went to Beso Del sol california, sunset beach. It is a tiny little joint. The location is what makes it great though, right across the street from the beach.

We have been members now for 5 years, and could not be happier with our purchase. My family and I have stayed all over the gulf side of Florida and have never had any issues. The units were very nice, everyone is friendly and helpful. We have gotten to know our Rep Nanci and she has been wonderful. We have hosted several “parties” and have gotten some of our friends and family to join as well. I would highly reccomend this program to anyone.

This was our first time using this. I took my family and we stayed in a 2-bedroom villa in Escondido with my parents. The Resort was amazing, as was the villa. We were apprehensive about using Global, because we had never purchased anything like this before. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised. It was easier than I thought. When we got to the resort, they suckered us into a 90-minute presentation (they gave us about $300 worth of free stuff, including 8 free tickets to a show and dinner). I bring this up because, once I explained to the “presenter” about this program, they said, “well, sounds like you’re all set. You’ve got a good program. We won’t waste any more of your time.” It just surprised me that a timeshare company was acknowledging the program we had and still gave us the free goodies. This was a great family vacation and I’m truly happy with Global. We’re planning our next trip as we speak!

I agree with Brandon, I had a timeshare through GVD in Maui and we also got suckered into a 90 minute presentation. It was funny though because when we got there and said we already had global vacations, they said they couldn’t beat that and we could leave without sitting though the presentation. We got two free helicopter rides over Maui, Lanai and a third island out of the deal. I think it really helped reinforce the idea that we had a good deal through Global vacations. We are young, and were apprehensive about paying a lot of money and this made up feel more comfortable.
